I am always trying to find new ways to spark inspiration for my photography. I have recently come across an exercise where I spend 5 minutes snapping away at a subject and see what I come up with. Yesterday, I chose to spend those 5 minutes with my cacti. Looking through the lens, I began contemplating my subjects. Shooting from directly above seemed to be the best way to capture the natural designs created by these incredible beings. The soft color composition created by these plants and their containers gives an almost serene effect. All in all, I had some fun and ended up with some delightful images.
